The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) has announced the winners of its 2026 Catholic Education Week Creative Contest.
The contest ran from March 26th to April 16th and invited students to create artwork inspired by the Catholic Education Week theme, “Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness.” Students reflected on faith, hope, and supporting others through creative projects based on a quote from Spes Non Confundit.
The top winners in each category will receive a $100 gift card sponsored by the Halton OECTA Elementary Association.
Winners include:
- Sasha Nova, a Grade 2 student at Guardian Angels Catholic Elementary School, won the Kindergarten to Grade 3 category for the “Everburning Lamp 3D Model.”
- Blythe D’Mello, a Grade 4 student at Queen of Heaven Catholic Elementary School, won the Grades 4 to 6 category for “The Glow that Guides Us” painting.
- Jackson Corcoran and Aarav Robin, Grade 7 students at St. Benedict Catholic Elementary School, won the Grades 7 to 8 category for their “Jesus and Dove Sketch.”
- Isabel Drakes, a Grade 10 student at Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School, won the Grades 9 to 12 category for “Spes Non Confundit Artwork.”
