Registration is now open for the 2026 Kelso Mountain Bike Race Series, with riders set to hit the trails at Kelso Conservation Area next week.
The annual series features 12 races running through the summer, wrapping up August 18th, followed by a finale event on August 25th. Organizers say the series offers a mix of challenging climbs and multiple race categories, making it suitable for riders of all skill and experience levels.
New this year is a Thursday night MTB Race Prep Program, starting tonight and running until August 13th, designed to help riders improve fitness, bike handling, and racing strategy. There’s also a Dual Series option, allowing participants to bundle the mountain bike series with a cyclocross series for a discounted rate.
Racers can register for the full series or sign up for individual events, with officials encouraging full-series registration for convenience and value. Categories range from novice to expert, including an intermediate level introduced in recent years.
The racing officially starts Tuesday, May 5th. Participants are reminded that registration for each race closes at 2:00 p.m. on race day.
