The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a home invasion in Burlington that saw residents threatened and robbed in the early morning hours.
It happened at around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 26th in the city’s Aldershot neighbourhood. Investigators allege four suspects smashed a first-floor window to gain entry while the residents were asleep.
When the homeowners went to investigate, they were confronted by the suspects, who demanded valuables. Police say one suspect pointed a handgun at a resident, while another held a knife to a second resident. Several pieces of jewelry were handed over before the suspects fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan.
All four suspects are described as males wearing dark clothing with hoods and masks. No physical injuries were reported.
Investigators are asking anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area of North Shore Boulevard East and King Road between 2:20 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2316.
