The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is inviting families, students, staff and community members to attend an upcoming Director’s Panel Series session focused on environmental and global citizenship.
The virtual event, Developing Environmental and Global Citizenship, will take place Monday, April 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a livestream available. Registration is not required.
The session will be led by Director of Education Curtis Ennis and Human Rights & Equity Advisor Pardeep Singh Nagra, and will explore how schools are incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into learning environments.
Organizers say the discussion will highlight how students and staff are building skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, empathy and adaptability, while fostering environmental stewardship and a deeper understanding of global responsibility.
Panelists will include HDSB Chair Amy Collard, Superintendent of Education for Environmental Leadership Aiman Flahat, as well as students and staff involved in environmental leadership initiatives.
Those interested in attending are also encouraged to submit questions in advance through an online form.
