The Town of New Tecumseth is set to install several traffic calming measures this spring as part of its annual road safety program.
Approved projects for 2026 include installations on 4th Line, Patterson Street, Church Street North, and Pridham Place. The measures will feature flexible bollards and temporary speed cushions aimed at reducing traffic speeds and improving safety in residential areas. Church Street North will operate as a one-year pilot project, while Pridham Place has been approved for a three-year installation period from 2026 to 2028.
Installation work is expected to take place between April 27th and May 8th, weather permitting, with the possibility of minor delays if conditions are unfavourable.
All temporary traffic calming measures, including speed cushions and bollards, will be removed for the winter by November 2nd.
