United Way Golden Horseshoe brought the community together to celebrate a year of impact and generosity at its annual Evening of Celebration.
The event, themed Waves of Impact, recognized donors, volunteers, workplaces, and community partners from across Halton and Hamilton who helped raise $12 million in the past year. Those funds will directly support programs and services focused on food security, housing, and mental health for individuals and families throughout the region.
“Tonight is a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together,” says Brad Park, Interim President and CEO of United Way Golden Horseshoe. “These are not just numbers, these are lives changed, barriers reduced, and opportunities created.”
Organizers say the celebration comes at a time of increasing demand for social services, with more residents facing complex challenges. The evening also highlighted stories of impact and recognized individuals and organizations whose contributions continue to support community well-being. “It has been an incredible privilege to be part of this year’s campaign,” says Campaign Cabinet Chair Carrie Fletcher, noting the generosity shown across the region.
United Way says it will continue to build on this momentum by strengthening partnerships and supporting programs that respond to evolving community needs across Halton and Hamilton.
