The OnScreen Halton Hills Film Festival is set to wrap up with a special finale event celebrating Canadian cinema this week.
The closing night takes place Friday, April 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the Acton Town Hall Centre, featuring a screening of the Canadian sports drama Youngblood as part of National Canadian Film Day. The event will also include a guest presentation by Karl Subban, who will share insights drawn from his experiences in leadership, family, and sport, followed by a book signing with copies of his latest works available for purchase.
Organizers say the film tells a story of second chances and personal growth, following a young hockey prospect working to rebuild his career after a suspension. The evening will also offer pizza and beverages for purchase as part of the event experience.
Admission is free, but registration is required as space is limited.
