A celebration of Canadian storytelling returns this spring as the OnScreen Halton Hills Film Festival runs across Halton Hills.
Presented by the Halton Hills Public Library, Create Halton Hills, the National Film Board of Canada, and National Canadian Film Day, the festival features a curated lineup of Canadian documentaries, feature films, and animations—all free to attend.
Each screening will also highlight local talent, with an award-winning student short film from the Halton District School Board’s “Eddies” program shown ahead of each feature presentation.
Events will take place between from Wednesday, April 8th and Friday, April 17th in multiple communities, including Norval, Glen Williams, Acton, and Georgetown, making the festival accessible to residents throughout the region.
The festival wraps up April 17th with a finale event at Acton Town Hall Centre, featuring the Canadian classic Youngblood, with refreshments available for purchase. Registration is only required for the closing event, and space is limited.
