Construction sign with worker
Drivers in Milton can expect delays as construction once again begins on a major stretch of Ontario Street this spring.
The Town of Milton says rehabilitation work will take place along Ontario Street between Main Street East and Laurier Avenue, starting Wednesday, April 1st and continuing through June 30th.
The project includes storm sewer repairs, curb and sidewalk replacement, concrete road base work, and full asphalt resurfacing.
While no full road closures are planned, lane reductions will be in effect throughout the project. Northbound and southbound curb lanes will be closed in stages as work moves from north to south, with some overnight work expected at intersections.
Officials are encouraging motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes while construction is underway.
The Town says the work is part of ongoing infrastructure investments aimed at improving road safety and accessibility for residents.
All road closures can be found using our interactive road closure map.
