A Brampton man is facing multiple attempted murder charges following a daytime shooting in Oakville.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says it happened Friday, March 27th, at around 12:05 p.m. on Progress Court near South Service Road. Investigators allege a suspect travelling in one vehicle fired multiple shots at another vehicle behind him before fleeing eastbound toward Fourth Line.
No injuries were reported, and police say the shooting is believed to have been targeted.
As a result of the investigation, 29-year-old Justin Tasevski of Brampton has been arrested and charged with:
- Two counts of Attempted Murder
- Two counts of Discharging a Firearm with Intent
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
He was held in custody and appeared in court Sunday, March 29th, and has been remanded with a future court date scheduled for April in Milton.
Police say they are not looking for any additional suspects, but the firearm used in the incident has not yet been recovered.
