Three Burlington men are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in the city.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the investigation began in January, focusing on suspected drug activity across Burlington and Hamilton. Over the following two months, officers identified three individuals believed to be involved in a trafficking network.
On Wednesday, March 18th, police arrested the suspects and executed search warrants at Burlington residences and associated vehicles. Investigators say they seized about 300 grams of cocaine, five grams of fentanyl, more than $15,000 in cash, jewelry, multiple cell phones, and drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials.
As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old David Evans of Burlington has been charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000 (Canadian currency)
25-year-old Yahya Dhiblawe of Burlington has been charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000 (Canadian currency)
24-year-old Jahlique Adamo-Armstrong of Burlington has been charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000
- Proceeds of Crime
All were released on Undertakings with a future court date in Milton.
