Students across the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) are being invited to showcase their creativity as part of this year’s Catholic Education Week Creative Contest.
The contest, themed Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness, encourages students to reflect on how faith, support and hope are expressed in their daily lives, inspired by the quote:
“The Holy Spirit illumines all believers with the light of hope. He keeps that light burning, like an ever-burning lamp, to sustain and invigorate our lives.”
Submissions will be accepted until April 16th, with students able to enter in one of three categories:
- visual artwork
- original song
- short video
Entries will be judged across four divisions:
- Primary
- Junior
- Intermediate
- Secondary
One winner will be selected from each group.
Organizers say the contest is an opportunity to celebrate student creativity, faith and talent, with support from the Halton OECTA Elementary Association helping to provide $100 gift card prizes for top submissions.
Winners will be announced during Catholic Education Week, with all entries required to be submitted digitally by 11:59 p.m. on April 16th.
