Three students have been elected to serve as Student Trustees with the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) for the 2026-2027 school year.
The election was held on Wednesday, February 25th. It selected representatives from across the board to advocate for student voice and engagement. Candidates were nominated from HCDSB secondary schools based on their involvement in school, parish, and community activities.
Pierre Hanna will serve as the North Halton Student Trustee. The Grade 10 Honour Roll and pre-International Baccalaureate student at Milton’s St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School is active in student senate, peer tutoring and chaplaincy initiatives, while also participating in extracurricular activities such as swimming and air cadets.
Gabriela Toki has been elected as the Burlington Student Trustee. A Grade 11 Honour Roll student at Assumption Catholic Secondary School, she is involved in student leadership, athletics, the arts and community advocacy, including her role as Vice President of the school’s Black Student Association.
Guilherme de Almeida has been elected as the Oakville Student Trustee. A Grade 11 Honour Roll student at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School, he has been involved in student council leadership, mentorship programs and a variety of academic initiatives, with a focus on inclusion and student engagement.
The newly elected Student Trustees will represent their peers and contribute to board-level discussions during the 2026-2027 school year.
