The Ontario government is investing nearly $3 million to support road improvements in New Tecumseth.
Simcoe-Grey MPP Brian Saunderson announced funding of up to $2,975,366 through the 2026-27 Connecting Links program to resurface sections of Victoria, King and Young streets in Alliston, from the Alliston West Plaza east to Industrial Parkway. The program helps municipalities maintain key roads and bridges that connect to provincial highways and support the movement of people and goods.
“The people of Alliston deserve access to safe, reliable transportation infrastructure, and that’s what our government is delivering,” says Saunderson. “Through the Connecting Links program, we’re keeping communities moving across the province as we continue our work to protect Ontario.”
The Connecting Links program provides funding for up to 90% of eligible project costs, with municipalities able to apply for future funding as intake opens later this year.
