A Milton man is facing multiple charges following an altercation in Kitchener that involved an alleged theft and hate-motivated speech.
Waterloo Regional Police say officers responded to a disturbance in the area of Wellington Street South at around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th. Investigators say the incident began as a dispute over the theft of a takeout order, during which a male allegedly assaulted the victim while using hate-motivated language.
Police say the suspect then exposed himself to the victim before leaving the area. No physical injuries were reported.
A 36-year-old man from Milton has since been located and charged with theft under $5,000, assault and committing an indecent act. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
