Families looking for ways to stay busy during March Break will find a variety of activities at Halton Hills Public Library.
The library is hosting a full week of interactive programs, performances and hands-on activities for children, youth and families until Friday, March 20th at its Georgetown and Acton branches. The lineup invites participants to race, experiment, build and create through science shows, creative workshops, gaming tournaments and family storytimes.
Highlights for children include Bubbleology with Miss T the Bubble Queen, a bubble show blending science and entertainment, and Orbax and Pepper Do Science, an interactive performance featuring unusual experiments and discoveries. Other activities include a Mario Kart racing tournament, a Sew a Softie workshop where children can create their own plush toy, Lego Robotics using LEGO Spike robots, seed starting stations for families to plant seeds to take home and grow, and a Wicked-themed storytime hosted by Glinda.
Programming for youth includes tabletop game sessions, a Pokémon trivia challenge, virtual reality experiences using the library’s Meta Quest headset, and a 3D printer open house showcasing creative technology. The library will also host a Friday Night Lock-In Nerf battle planned by the Teen Advisory Council.
Residents can view the full schedule and register for programs online.
