Teens in Milton have an opportunity to learn about human rights and earn volunteer hours through an upcoming event at the library.
The Milton Public Library is hosting an Amnesty International’s Write for Rights program on Monday, March 16th, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at their Main branch.
The session will introduce participants to real human rights cases through Amnesty International, with teens writing letters to support individuals whose rights have been violated.
The event is open to youth ages 13 to 17, and participants will be eligible to earn volunteer hours.
Library staff say the program is designed to help teens learn how advocacy and letter-writing can make a difference while supporting global human rights efforts.
Find the Main Library branch at 1010 Main Street East in Milton.
