The Town of Milton says more than $6.4 million in contributions from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) helped support community programs and emergency service improvements in 2025.
Through the Municipality Contribution Agreement, the town received $6,489,546 during the 2025 fiscal year, funding initiatives that benefit residents and local organizations.
Mayor Gord Krantz joined OLG representatives to highlight a $1.5-million investment aimed at enhancing emergency communications for Milton Fire & Rescue Services. The funding will support upgrades such as redundant power and cooling systems at town facilities, additional radio consoles, and an improved call recording system to assist with call answering and emergency dispatch.
“The Town of Milton is pleased to recognize another contribution from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation,” says Krantz. “Community safety often depends on emergency communications. Enhancements to the systems used by our fire staff are one more example of how OLG proceeds bring lasting benefits to Milton.”
A portion of OLG funding is also directed to local non-profits through the Milton Community Fund and Small Grants Program, helping organizations deliver sports, arts programs, festivals, and other community initiatives.
Since the opening of the gaming facility in 1999, OLG says the town has received more than $154.1 million in total contributions. The funding is generated through the host gaming facility in the community, Elements Casino Mohawk.
