The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision in Acton.
Police say officers were called at around 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd, to the intersection of Regional Road 25 and 32 Sideroad after a northbound dump truck and an eastbound white Hyundai Elantra collided in the intersection. The driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, while a passenger was transported to an out-of-region trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Due to the severity of the collision, the service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation.
