The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a lengthy drug trafficking investigation has resulted in one arrest and the seizure of 56 kilograms of opium and cocaine.
Investigators launched the probe in fall 2025 into alleged trafficking activity across the Greater Toronto Area. On Monday, February 9th, officers executed search warrants at two locations and a vehicle, arresting 22-year-old Aden Zedan of Toronto.
Police say they seized 36 kilograms of opium, 20 kilograms of cocaine, between $15,000 and $20,000 in Canadian currency, and estimate the wholesale value of the drugs at $1.5 million. Zedan is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
