The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking to identify a vehicle that was spotted on video around the time of the shooting at Burlington Centre Mall.
24-year-old Omer Niaz Muhammad of Burlington was shot and killed on the night of Monday, February 9th.
Video has been shared of a dark coloured compact SUV. The white SUV in the video is the suspect vehicle responsible for this shooting. It was located a short time after the murder – abandoned and set on fire in Hamilton.
Investigators are attempting to clarify the involvement of the dark coloured compact SUV and are asking anyone who may be able to identify the vehicle or its occupants to contact the Major Crime Bureau at 905-825-4776.
Anyone who may have security or dash cam footage of the area around the time of the offence are also asked to contact police.

A man is dead following a shooting in Burlington last night.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Burlington Centre Mall at 77 Guelph Line at roughly 10:10 p.m. on Monday, February 9th.
24-year-old Omer Niaz Muhammad of Burlington was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made. Police are searching for two suspects who fled in a white SUV.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident with no known risk to public safety.
