Multiple suspects are wanted by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) following a smash-and-grab robbery in Burlington.
On Thursday, January 29th, at roughly 4:50 p.m., four suspects arrived in a dark grey Honda CRV and reversed into the front door of Buy and Sell City, located at 1235 Fairview Street. The door and wall were damaged allowing the suspects entry to the business. Armed with hammers and crowbars the suspects smashed numerous glass display cases containing jewelry. Multiple pieces of jewelry were stolen and the suspects fled in a waiting dark grey Honda Civic driven by a fifth suspect, last seen travelling east on Fairview Street.
The suspects observed inside the business are described as:
- male
- black
- wearing dark coloured clothing and face coverings
There were no reported physical injuries to store employees.
Investigation determined the recovered Honda CRV as stolen from Toronto.
Due to the damage sustained the business was assessed for structural integrity and found safe.
