Families, students, staff and community members are invited to take part in an upcoming virtual discussion exploring the role of artificial intelligence in education through a human-centred lens.
Led by Halton District School Board (HDSB) Director of Education Curtis Ennis and Human Rights and Equity Advisor Pardeep Singh Nagra, A More Human Vision of AI will feature industry thought leader Kulbir Colin Singh Dhillon, author of Soulful AI. The discussion will focus on how artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly present in everyday life and why schools, students and families should approach its use with intention, responsibility and a strong sense of humanity.
Panelists will explore how emerging technologies can be used in ways that prioritize empathy, ethics, creativity and purpose, ensuring that technological advancement supports human values, rather than replaces them.
It’s being held on Monday, January 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The session will be livestreamed and does not require registration.
Community members interested in attending are encouraged to submit questions in advance, which will help guide the conversation during the live event.
