The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested and charged two men in connection with a break and enter and a series of high-end vehicle thefts at an Oakville dealership earlier this month.
Police say that on Sunday, January 11th, at roughly 3:35 a.m., multiple masked suspects dressed in dark clothing broke into Lockwood Leasing, located at 1141 South Service Road West. Investigators allege the suspects obtained keys to eight luxury vehicles inside the dealership (including a Ferrari, two Porsches, two BMWs and three Mercedes-Benz vehicles) and used them to steal the cars.
Members of HRPS uniform patrol and the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau launched an investigation and were able to locate four of the stolen vehicles: a BMW, a Mercedes, a Porsche and the Ferrari. They were abandoned and unoccupied in the Greater Toronto Area.
Police say an additional stolen vehicle, a Porsche 911, was recovered by Peel Regional Police on Monday, January 12th. Two men were arrested in that incident, and through continued investigation, HRPS was able to link them to the Oakville dealership break and enter.
On Wednesday, January 14th, HRPS investigators took both suspects into custody.
24-year-old Amin Hadj Kaddour of Mississauga and 24-year-old Joshua Twa’colagiacomo of Victoria Harbour have each been charged with:
- Break and Enter
- Disguise with Intent
Police say both were initially held in custody and have since been released on bail.
Investigators note that both accused are also facing additional criminal charges with Peel Regional Police related to their earlier arrests.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to search for outstanding vehicles and additional suspects.
