An 18-year-old Oakville man has been charged with stunt driving after police say he was towing people on sleds from a vehicle in a parking lot.
Guelph Police were called just after midnight Friday, January 16th to the area of York Road and Watson Parkway, where officers observed a vehicle spinning in circles while two people were being dragged behind it on sleds using ropes. Officers also reported seeing a male riding in the open trunk of the car.
The driver was charged with stunt driving, had his licence suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle (owned by one of the individuals on the sleds) was impounded for 14 days.
Police note that a stunt driving conviction carries a minimum one-year licence suspension, a minimum $2,000 fine, and six demerit points.
