Quitting smoking or vaping can be challenging, but accessing the right support can significantly improve the chances of long-term success.
Ontarians looking to quit now have access to Don’t Quit Quitting, a free online resource designed to support people at every stage of their quit journey.
The Don’t Quit Quitting website connects users with evidence-based tools and supports, including tips and facts about quitting, strategies to manage cravings, and guidance on how to build healthier habits. The platform also helps users find free nicotine replacement therapy, such as nicotine patches, and includes a calculator that shows how much money can be saved by quitting.
Health experts note that quitting smoking or vaping is one of the most effective steps a person can take to improve their overall health. Even if it takes multiple attempts, each effort increases the likelihood of quitting for good.
The program emphasizes that people do not need to quit on their own and that support is available regardless of where someone is in the process. That could be that you’re just thinking about quitting or you’re actively working toward becoming smoke- or vape-free.
