A Burlington man was involved in a serious pedestrian collision this week in Cambridge that sent a 49-year-old local resident to hospital.
Waterloo Regional Police say emergency crews were called to the roundabout at Franklin Boulevard and Dundas Street South at around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th after a Hyundai struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 49-year-old Cambridge man, was taken by ambulance to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man from Burlington, was not injured in the collision. As part of the investigation, northbound lanes of Franklin Boulevard between Dundas Street South and Main Street were closed for several hours.
