A collision involving a school bus and a school transportation minivan in Barrie sent one driver to hospital last week.
Barrie Police say officers responded to the crash on Thursday, December 18th, at roughly 2:45 p.m. They believe the driver of the minivan experienced a medical issue that led to the collision. The minivan was occupied only by its driver, while the school bus was carrying 36 students from a local high school, along with the bus driver.
The minivan driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the collision. Police confirmed that none of the students or the bus driver were physically injured as a result of the incident.
Barrie Police Traffic Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
