Tim Hortons restaurants in Milton and Hornby raised more than $49,000 through this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, with nearly $21,000 supporting local Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs.
The 3rd annual campaign saw customers purchase Holiday Smile Cookies in November, with full proceeds donated back to community causes. Of the $49,421 raised locally, $20,937 will directly support Big Brothers Big Sisters programs in Milton and surrounding areas, helping connect young people with caring mentors. Across Canada, Tim Hortons announced the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised $13 million for more than 600 charities, with funds split evenly between Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and local community organizations.
Big Brothers Big Sisters says the local funding will be invested into mentoring programs that currently support about 130 young people in Milton, helping provide guidance, stability, and positive role models.
