The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says 300 underserved youth across the region are now better prepared for winter after receiving new snowsuits through its 5th annual Kozy Kids initiative.
Police say members of the Community Services Unit distributed the snowsuits to children identified with help from local schools and community partners. Since the program began in 2021, Kozy Kids has now supported a total of 1,508 youth, surpassing the campaign’s goal of 1,500 snowsuits for the 2025 season.
Inspector Bruce Dickson of the HRPS Community Services Unit credited the milestone to community support, calling the generosity of residents “remarkable” and noting the program allows children to safely enjoy winter activities. Police thanked donors and partners for helping spread awareness of the initiative throughout Halton.
