The Milton Menace are heading into their weekend with an early win.
On Thursday, December 11th, the Menace travelled to Caledon to play the Admirals at the Mayfield Recreation Complex.
RECAP WITH CAP: Weekly interview with Milton Menace Captain Graeme MacAuley – Season 2, Episode 12
It was Milton who got on the board first, with Ashtyn Pacheco scoring his 17th of the season, unassisted. That’d be the lone marker in the period, as the Menace entered the first intermission up 1-0.
In the second period, Andrew Giljanovic added to the lead. His 2nd of the season was assisted by Gabe Runco and Captain Graeme MacAuley. That was quickly followed up by Dante D’Andrea’s 4th of the year, with help from Gavin Sheehan and Alec Stewart. It was 3-0 Milton after 40 minutes of action.
Caledon would eventually find twine in the third period, but the red hot Tristan Tremble would bury his 11th of the year, assisted by Sheehan and Runco. That’d be all for the game, as Milton beat Caledon 4-1.
In net for the Menace was Austin McKillop – taking on the team he suited up for in 2023-2024. He continued his strong season with 34 saves on 35 shots. That gave him a .971% save percentage and the win. Last year’s OJHL All-Star is up to 14-4-1 on the season with a stellar .936% save percentage and 1.99 GAA.
The Menace return home on Friday, December 12th to host the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
That will be followed up with a road game in Niagara Falls against the Canucks on Sunday, December 14th. That one begins at 3:00 p.m. at the Gale Centre.
