Milton Council has approved $536,668 in Milton Community Fund grants for 52 local organizations, marking the 25th year of funding community programs and services across the town.
The fund allocates a portion of revenues received from OLG for Milton hosting Elements Casino Mohawk.
Since its creation in 2001, the fund has supported not-for-profit groups offering artistic, cultural, and recreational opportunities, distributing more than $8.4 million to date. This year’s intake saw 61 applications, including 10 first-time applicants, highlighting continued demand for local support.
“For a quarter-century, the Milton Community Fund has helped local organizations deliver programs that strengthen our community and create opportunities for residents to learn, participate, and connect,” says Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “We are proud to support these recipients and the positive impact they’re making in Milton.”
