Halton Region has been named a Greater Toronto Top Employer once again, earning recognition for its workplace culture, employee wellness, and commitment to community service.
Regional Chair Gary Carr said the honour reflects why “thousands of people apply to work at Halton Region each year,” noting the organization’s focus on wellness, collaboration, development, recognition and service excellence.
Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Farr said the award “benchmarks us against top employers locally and nationally” and validates Halton’s investments in culture to attract and retain strong talent.
The Region highlighted several indicators of its workplace environment, including 81% of employees calling Halton a great place to work, high internal mobility, $5,000 in mental-health benefits for eligible staff, weekly wellness activities and a 94% retention rate. Officials say the designation underscores Halton’s continued efforts to support growth, well-being and community impact.
