Six Canadian-filmed movies and series have been added to the Netflix in Your Neighbourhood platform, including titles featuring scenes filmed in Milton and Glen Williams.
The newly added film A Merry Little Ex-Mas was shot in several Ontario communities, with key scenes filmed at Beaumont Mill Antiques in Glen Williams. The holiday movie follows a recently divorced woman trying to share one last Christmas with her family, only to face unexpected complications when her ex-husband arrives with his new partner.
Netflix says the update comes at a time when many Canadians are planning to stream more over the holidays. According to a recent poll, 45% of Canadians with Netflix plan to spend December indulging in festive shows and treats, while half admit they sneak away from family gatherings to catch up on Netflix.
Milton is also featured among the latest filming locations. The upcoming thriller series Wayward, centred on two teens uncovering unsettling secrets in a small town, was shot in multiple Ontario communities including Milton’s Kelso Conservation Area.
Since launching in 2021, Netflix in Your Neighbourhood has catalogued hundreds of Canadian filming locations, helping viewers explore real-world sites connected to their favourite shows. The guide highlights local attractions, restaurants, accommodations and cultural landmarks tied to Netflix titles, offering fans a ready-made roadmap for planning visits.
