Herbert’s Boots has pledged $50,000 to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Because of YOU campaign, contributing to the major renovation and expansion planned for Stevenson Memorial Hospital in New Tecumseth.
The family-owned retailer, which opened its first Alliston location in 1958, says this year’s focus is supporting improved local healthcare infrastructure.
“We think it’s important to support our local hospital, and we’re happy to see Stevenson Memorial expanding to meet the needs of our growing community,” says owner Dieter Elsner. “It is a service that we all use and need, and we’re grateful to be in a position to contribute where we can.”
Foundation CEO Frank Cerisano thanked Herbert’s Boots for its commitment, saying contributions from local businesses are crucial to reaching the campaign’s $80-million goal. The expansion will triple the size of the hospital, adding enhanced emergency care, advanced diagnostic imaging (including its first MRI suite) modern inpatient spaces, and specialized surgical services.
Herbert’s Boots operates locations in Alliston and Innisfil.
