It wouldn’t be the holiday season without the annual Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army Khi Community in Milton has officially launched their fundraising initiative. Their goal this year is $200,000, with the funds supporting local families and individuals in need.
Director and Pastor with the local Salvation Army, Ruth Hickman, says more than 1200 families rely on these services locally, so your money will be going a long way.
Hickman adds that they are grateful for Milton’s continued support, emphasizing that every donation and volunteer hour helps ensure local families receive essential assistance.
Six permanent kettle sites and several pop-up locations will operate across Milton, each equipped with Tip Tap machines allowing quick donations of $5, $10, or $20 by debit or credit.
To meet this year’s goal, the organization says more than 800 volunteer shifts must be filled. Volunteers can register for two-hour shifts and training online. All you need to volunteer is a positive attitude and some holiday spirit! Student volunteers will have hours confirmed at the end of the campaign.
