The Milton Menace are heading into this week with another pair of wins.
On Friday, November 21st, the Menace welcomed in the Aurora Tigers to the Milton Memorial Arena. It was the first match-up of the season between the two teams.
It was Aurora who got on the board first. Milton couldn’t find the back of the net, not without trying as the Menace led the first period in shots on goal: 13-8. It was 1-0 Tigers after one period of play.
In the second period, Aurora got themselves a two goal lead early. With just over five minutes left in the frame, Milton took advantage of the man advantage. Easton Lynds scored his 8th of the season, assisted by Gabe Runco and Gabriel Ciarallo. A few minutes later, Matthew Babiy added his 10th, assisted by Alec Stewart and Marco Costante, and that goal was quickly followed by another from Captain Graeme MacAuley. His 3rd of the season was helped by Tristan Tremble and Brody Leet. Milton led 3-2 after 40 minutes of action.
Despite being down a man, the Menace were able to add to their lead. Ivan Fabjan buried the shorthanded goal, assisted by Tremble and MacAuley. It was his 8th of the year. Aurora would get one back, but Lynds would add an insurance marker for Milton, with Fabjan and Tremble both being credited with assists. Milton beat Aurora 5-3.
Carter Froggett was the starter for the Menace. He stopped 27 of 30 shots for the even .900% save percentage and the win.
