A driver was arrested in Milton this morning after an automated licence plate reader (ALPR) alerted Ontario Provincial Police to a suspected suspended driver travelling on Highway 401.
On Tuesday, November 18th, members of the Highway Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop, confirming the driver was suspended and operating a vehicle without insurance. The driver was subsequently charged, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Police continue to remind motorists that ALPR technology is actively used to identify suspended drivers and other traffic-related offences on Ontario highways.
