The Milton Menace hit the road last night and managed to walk away with the win.
They took the nearly three hour drive to Leamington to take on the Flyers on Thursday, November 13th. The teams last played in October, where Leamington beat Milton 4-1.
The Menace had their backs against the wall in this latest match-up. They took four penalties in the first period, including a game misconduct for Gabe Runco. That led to the Flyers beating the Menace in shots in the opening frame, 14-4. The good news is that nothing found the back of the net, and the game was tied 0-0 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Seth Vreugdenhil got the Menace on the board. His 2nd of the season was assisted by Alex Spadafora and newcomer Matthew Babiy. It was 1-0 Milton heading into the final intermission.

Leamington would tie things up in the third period, but the Menace fired back. Nathan Catalano scored the go-ahead goal – his 2nd of the season, assisted by Josh Currie and Ivan Fabjan. That’d prove to be the game winner as Milton beat Leamington 2-1.
Carter Froggett was in net for the Menace. He stopped 38 of the 39 shots he faced, giving him a .974% save percentage and the win.
The Menace will now have a busy weekend as they prepare for a road match-up against Oakville on Saturday, November 15th. That will then be followed up with a home game against the Niagara Falls Canucks on Sunday, November 16th.
