The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is now accepting applications for its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) Program throughout November.
This hands-on program blends academic learning with creativity and innovation to prepare students for future careers in an evolving, technology-driven world.
STEAM education encourages inquiry, collaboration, and problem-solving through a blended delivery model that lets students take the lead in their own learning. Students explore real-world challenges through project-based learning, connecting classroom studies to local and global issues. Participating schools also offer opportunities in FIRST Robotics, Esports, and Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs.
Applications open this month at three schools:
- St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School (Oakville) now until December 8th
- Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School (Burlington) from November 17th to December 5th
- St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School (Milton) from November 21st to December 5th
The program runs year-round for Grades 9 and 10, with specialized pathways offered in Grades 11 and 12.
Admission is based on student interest rather than academic grades, and applicants must confirm their course selections in myBlueprint before submitting.
