A driver in Milton is facing charges after being caught more than doubling the speed limit.
On Sunday, November 9th, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a vehicle was clocked at 122 km/h in a posted 60-zone in the area of Steeles Avenue and Ontario Street South.
Officers also noted that the driver was caught speeding to this degree while snow was falling and the roads were slick.
Their license was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
Regional Councillor for Milton’s Ward 1, Colin Best, reposted the details on social media, saying, “This is one of the major concerns that I hear from area residents and the need for traffic enforcement.”
