An additional victim has come forward in the investigation into Robert Lapier.
According to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), the female victim was an adult student at Silver Swird Armouries in the spring of 2019, where she was being instructed by Lapier. During one session it is alleged that he sexually assaulted the victim.
As a result of the investigation, on Saturday, November 8th, the 69-year-old Oakville man was charged with one count of Sexual Assault.
The accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date in Milton.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized by the accused to contact the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.

An Oakville man has been arrested by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) following a sexual assault investigation.
On Saturday, October 18th, 69-year-old Robert Lapier was arrested. He has been charged with the following:
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
The offences reportedly took place at Silver Sword Armories, located on Burnhamthorpe Road East in Oakville where the accused is an archery instructor. The victim is a female youth who was receiving lessons at the facility.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized by the accused to contact the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.
Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.
There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
