An Oakville woman is among five people charged after police responded to a disturbance at a private event near Bay Street and Elm Street in Toronto on Wednesday, November 5th.
Investigators say a group of protestors forcibly entered the building, causing property damage and alarming attendees. One person was injured by broken glass during the incident, and police arrested several suspects nearby.
The event was being held by the Toronto Metropolitan University chapter of Students Supporting Israel.
The 25-year-old Oakville resident now faces charges of:
- Forcible Entry
- Member of Unlawful Assembly
- Obstruct Peace Officer
She is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court in January.
