Victoria Park Cenotaph in Milton (2020)
The Town of Halton Hills is inviting residents to join in honouring veterans and their families through a series of Remembrance Day parades and ceremonies organized by local Royal Canadian Legion branches.
Events will take place across Acton, Glen Williams, and Georgetown from November 8th to November 11th, including parades, services, and moments of silence at local cenotaphs and Remembrance Park.
The Acton Legion (Branch #197) and Georgetown Legion (Branch #120) are leading this year’s observances, welcoming community members to pay tribute to those who have served Canada.
Remembrance Day itself will be observed on Tuesday, November 11th, with ceremonies in both Acton and Georgetown beginning at 10:45 a.m.
