The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) say a child has died and her mother remains in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on North Service Road West, west of Lindsay Drive in Oakville, this week.
On Thursday, November 6th, at around 3:52 p.m., a 47-year-old Oakville man driving a Lexus SUV left the roadway, struck the 39-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter. Both were taken to hospital, but the child later died of her injuries.
The driver has been arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death.
