First Student School Buses
Unifor says its First Student Canada members serving Georgetown may go on strike next week if no agreement is reached with the employer.
The Georgetown unit, part of Local 4268, includes about 110 drivers negotiating their first contract, with key issues involving wages and unpaid work time.
The drivers service routes for the Halton Catholic and Halton District School Boards, as well as Conseil Scolaire Catholique MonAvenir and Conseil Scolaire Viamonde, affecting roughly 6,000 students across Georgetown, Milton and Acton.
Unifor says it remains available to negotiate a fair agreement ahead of the strike deadline, which is set for Monday, November 10th.
