Wilfrid Laurier University will launch a new Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at its Milton campus next year.
The program officially launches for Fall 2026, marking the first engineering program in the university’s 114-year history. It aims to meet growing industry demand in areas such as ethical AI, smart-city infrastructure, climate modelling, and bioinformatics, while expanding Laurier’s STEM offerings.
The degree will feature concentrations in Biology or Psychology/Cognitive Science, with an optional co-op in year four for hands-on experience.
Laurier received provincial approval for the program in October, with applications open until January 15th.
