A 30-year-old Georgetown man is facing multiple charges after being stopped by Guelph police over the weekend.
On Saturday, October 25th, at around 5:40 p.m., an officer on patrol downtown was alerted by the cruiser’s automatic licence plate reader to a vehicle registered to a prohibited driver. The man, who was found behind the wheel, showed signs of impairment and had an odour of alcohol on his breath.
He is charged with impaired driving, driving while suspended, breaching a release order, and breaching a probation order.
His licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
