Construction sign with worker
The Town of Milton has announced that Stage 2 of the Ontario Street Rehabilitation Project is now underway, with work scheduled until to October 31st.
This phase includes storm sewer rehabilitation, curb and sidewalk replacement, concrete road base repairs, and a full-depth asphalt replacement between Main Street East and Laurier Avenue.
While there will be no full road closures, drivers can expect localized lane closures and night work at intersections throughout the project. During this stage, southbound lanes from Oak Street/Childs Drive to Donald Campbell Avenue will be closed, with southbound traffic diverted into the northbound lanes. All lanes are expected to reopen before the start of Stage 3.
Motorists are reminded that all construction timelines are weather-dependent and subject to change.
