A pair of Milton siblings are celebrating a life-changing win after taking home $1,666,666.70 in the LOTTO 6/49 Classic Draw on Wednesday, September 10th.
Scott and Wanda Farrell were one of three ticket holders to share the $5 million Classic Jackpot, each receiving an equal portion of the prize. The siblings, who have been playing the lottery for nearly 30 years, said they switched to Quick Picks after years of playing their own numbers.
The pair discovered their win while checking their ticket online.
“We had to do a double take and checked the ticket about four times to be sure,” they said. “We were in shock and disbelief.”
They added that the win “is a blessing and will help us with our future.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Becker’s on Steeles Avenue East in Milton.
